Job Title: Clinical Programmer Principal

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Programmer Principal to join our team at Lifelancer. As a Clinical Programmer Principal, you will be responsible for conducting and coordinating programming activities for multiple studies. You will provide technical advice and support for programming activities to the data management team and oversee the work product of other programmers to ensure high quality and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement complex SQL programming code to support clinical trials.
  • Configure studies/projects using ETL tools and write complex SQL queries for report development.
  • Ingest data from various data sources and integrate data from external applications using ETL tools.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the Phase I-IV clinical trial process.
  • Experience working in the Clinical Data Management function.
  • Understand department-level SOPs and WIs.
  • Knowledge of GxP systems and regulatory frameworks of clinical systems.
  • Handle clinical studies in CDSM independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in CDSM during studies and provide necessary clinical programming input and solutions.
  • Keep track of clinical study milestones and align them with timely delivery of reports.
  • Communicate effectively in department/study team level meetings and explain issues/concerns from the programming point of view.
  • Develop programming guidelines/documents as necessary.
  • Provide creative programming solutions based on day-to-day study and DM process challenges.
  • Develop methodical approaches to solve problems and proactively identify possible risks/problems.

Requirements:

  • High proficiency in programming languages in CDMS like SAS/ETL and SQL Plus.
  • Good knowledge of data standards such as CDISC and SDTM.
  • Strong organizational, influencing, presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Significant demonstrated experience with clinical programming, clinical data management, CRO industry, and data reporting.
  • Proven ability to independently determine the most appropriate methods and procedures across Clinical Data Management projects.
  • Strong writing and verbal presentation skills to convey complex/technical information to various audiences.
