Electronics Systems Engineering Team Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Systems Engineering Team Lead to join our growing R&D team in Southampton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering complex electronic systems, working closely with other engineers to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and project delivery for all aspects of systems engineering
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team, working alongside Electronics, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers
  • Develop and maintain technical design specifications, verification test plans, and oversee verification and validation testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical, electronic, mechanical, or hydraulic systems
  • Conduct reliability and safety analysis, and ensure compliance with industry regulations

Requirements:

  • HND/Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a relevant discipline
  • Strong experience in complex/hi-tech systems, ideally in regulated industries (automotive, marine, aerospace, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of control systems, power distribution systems, and EMC design
