Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Planner to join our Infrastructure Project Controls team based in Scotland, focusing on projects in the energy, defense, rail, airports, highways, water, and utilities sectors.

The Senior Planner will collaborate with our Project Controls team on a prominent infrastructure initiative, providing essential performance reporting and analytical support. This role may involve working within a large team or serving as the primary point of contact for the client on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with cost and planning engineers to create work breakdown structures and establish robust performance baselines.
  • Implementing progress and cost monitoring techniques.
  • Generating project control reports and delivering performance analysis and recommendations to our clients.

Candidates should possess prior experience in a project controls setting within the infrastructure sector (Energy, Defence, Rail, Airports, Highways, Water/Utilities) and expertise in at least one of the following areas: Programme Controls Management, Earned Value Management (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, Project Controls, or PMO.

Qualifications

Ideally, applicants will hold a degree and have relevant industry experience.

Familiarity with tools such as Oracle Primavera, MS Project, Excel, or PRISM (Cost Management System) is also essential.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with a disciplined approach to following established processes and governance. Candidates should demonstrate innovative thinking to address the evolving challenges of project environments.

Our current focus is on the energy and defense sectors. Candidates with current Security Clearance are preferred for roles related to our Defense Sector Projects.
