Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machining Specialist with expertise in manual machining techniques. This is a permanent position offering a dynamic work environment.

Working Hours

Schedule:
Monday to Thursday (6.00pm) rotating with Monday to Thursday (1.00pm)

Compensation

Salary:
£18 to £20 per hour, plus an additional shift allowance of £1.83 per hour, resulting in an annual salary range of £38,152 to £42,000.

Overtime Rates:
1.5x on weekdays after the first 2 hours, 1.33x for the first 2 hours on weekdays, 2x on Sundays, and 1.5x on Saturdays.

Role Responsibilities

The toolroom is equipped with various machinery including milling, turning, grinding, and bench fitting. There is also the opportunity to work with CNC machinery for those interested in expanding their skill set, including offline programming.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a time-served apprenticeship is advantageous
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings
  • Demonstrated experience in manual machining processes such as milling, turning, and grinding
  • Strong bench fitting and mechanical fitting capabilities, utilizing hand tools in a workshop setting
