Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Outdoor Canopies

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager - Outdoor Canopies to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling the design and installation of a manufactured range of outdoor canopies to schools, education institutions, and other clients in the East of the Country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Field sales role selling the design and installation of outdoor canopies
  • Targeting schools, education institutions, and other clients in the East of the Country
  • Working closely with contractors, architects, and local authorities
  • First year revenue target of £800,000, 2nd year target of £1m
  • Huge volume of support including marketing, website enquiries, and e-marketing campaigns
  • £1m+ pipeline of projects to inherit
  • 6-12 appointments per week
  • 50% on the road, 50% working from the North West based office or WFH
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in field sales within the education sector
  • New business hunter, ability to ask for an order
  • Construction projects background would be ideal
  • Open on product background but preferably sold something associated to outdoor canopies
  • Previous experience dealing with local authorities, architects, or contractors is not required
  • Preferably end user sales experience
  • Prepared to put in the hours
  • Mouldable with an aptitude to learn
  • Ability to measure up and follow up on warm enquiries
  • High level of drive, energy, enthusiasm, and self-motivation
