At Govia Thameslink Railway, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in our engineering operations.

We are currently seeking a UAT Operator to deliver a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) service at our Engineering Depot, ensuring compliance with all required standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Ultrasonic testing on axles at the Engineering Depots and other designated locations.
  • Perform various forms of NDT as needed at the engineering depots and other sites.
  • Ensure all testing equipment is appropriate for use, calibrated, and readily available.
  • Maintain up-to-date personal competency certifications.
  • Keep all UAT documentation current and accessible at the depot and other locations.
  • Verify that all components are suitable for service after completing NDT/UAT procedures.
  • Input all relevant NDT/UAT data into the designated systems.
  • Execute general duties as required.

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a depot environment.
  • Knowledge of rolling stock is essential.
