About the Role

Catch22 is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Substance Misuse Practitioner Apprentice to join our Surrey Young Persons Substance Misuse Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support to young people and their families, helping them to overcome substance misuse issues and achieve a positive future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with young people and their families to identify and address substance misuse issues
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to promote recovery and well-being
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to support
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of education and harm reduction sessions
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of service improvements
Requirements
  • Good levels of literacy and numeracy, evidenced by GCSEs in Math's and English at grade 4/C or higher
  • Ability to demonstrate a desire to work with young people and understand the responsibilities regarding safeguarding
  • Excellent engagement skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young people
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Problem-solving skills, with a 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Good ICT skills, with the ability to use technology to support service delivery
