Construction Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team at Whiteoak Associates. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects, working closely with our clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality estimates and ensure project profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed estimates for construction projects, including take-offs, package preparation, and normalization.
  • Engage with specialist subcontractors to gather costs and review submissions for interiors and construction packages.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely estimates, and to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing excellent communication and customer service.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, with a strong background in main contracting and a minimum of 5 years' experience in the industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction estimating software and systems, including take-off and estimating tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £60,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • A car allowance of £6,000 per annum, or the option to participate in our EV salary sacrifice company car scheme.
  • An annual bonus of 10% of salary, based on company and personal performance.
  • A 4% employer pension contribution.
  • BUPA Health Care Cover, subject to acceptance.
  • 25 days' annual leave, including the Christmas shutdown.
