Electrical Site Manager Job Description

Turner Lovell is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee the construction of various HV energy infrastructure and datacentre projects across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in developing the construction programme, short-term look-ahead planning reports, equipment, and materials schedules.
  • Familiarize yourself with change management procedures and assist the Project Manager in implementing them.
  • Assist in project validation, method statement, and risk assessment preparation and review with subcontractors.
  • Review construction drawings and sign off on them.
  • Assist in benchmarking installation practices and quality procedures.
Project Construction Phase:
  • Assist the project team in expediting major equipment deliveries.
  • Ensure labour allocation sheets are completed by subcontractors.
  • Effectively manage subcontractor supervision to enable efficient productivity.
  • Ensure subcontractor workforce is on site at the workface on time.
Quality and Safety:
  • Mark up drawings in conjunction with inspection testing.
  • Ensure inspection test plans are enforced by snagging works and offering them to the client for inspection at various stages of the installation.
  • Liaise with the commissioning engineer to ensure all systems are tested, demonstrated, and handed over.
  • Ensure all statutory notices, schematics, and wall charts are in place on site in accordance with the project completion checklist.
Requirements:
  • Recognized Electrical apprenticeship or trade certification coupled with a minimum of 5 years of site management experience.
  • Experience in managing electrical design and build projects in excess of €5 million.
  • IOSH certificate in environmental management and general NEBOSH certificate (not essential).
  • Strong computer abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and adaptable individual with a flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize when leading multiple projects.
  • Deep understanding of constructability of projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Capable of building strategic relationships with third-party design groups.
