About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Gateline Assistant. As a key member of our stations team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our ticket barriers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Provide a high level of service to customers, responding to their queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operate Ticket Barriers: Assist in the day-to-day operation of the automatic ticket barriers, ensuring they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Ensure Customer Security: Monitor the gateline area and respond to customer enquiries, ensuring the safety and security of our customers.
  • Inspect and Issue Tickets: Inspect tickets and issue new ones as required, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Address Customer Needs in Times of Service Disruption: Respond to customer needs during periods of service disruption, providing clear and concise information and support.
  • Maintain a Professional Appearance: Ensure the gateline area is kept clean and tidy, with customer walkways unobstructed.
Requirements
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Ability to deliver exceptional front-line customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Self-Starter with a Can-Do Attitude: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible approach to work.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time role, contracted for 15 hours per week. The role requires shift working, including weekend and bank holidays, with shift times between 06:00 and 21:30, 7 days a week on a rolling roster pattern.
