CAD/CAM Programmer

LS Engineering Shropshire Ltd is a robust engineering and manufacturing company predominantly serving the food industry, as well as a multitude of other industries. We offer a start-to-finish service to our customers for their required engineering solutions, including computer-aided designing, sheet metal work, conveyor solutions, fabrications, structural steelwork, laser cutting, site work with installations, and machine maintenance services.

We are currently recruiting an experienced CAD/CAM programmer from a sheet metal, stainless steel, and mechanical handling background. The successful candidate will work alongside the production manager to create daily programs for the sheet and tube laser using RADAN software.

• Manage RADAN nesting software to create efficient nesting patterns.
• Liaise with internal departments, including design and production, to align nesting processes with current production schedules.
• Interpret and work with technical drawings and SolidWorks files to ensure accuracy in production.
• Continuously improve products and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Contribute to the programming of Amada or similar machinery, with a focus on optimizing production schedules.
• Monitor and adjust nesting strategies based on production needs and feedback.
• Ensure all work complies with quality procedures and health and safety standards.

• Skilled in operating RADAN nesting software.
• Understanding of SolidWorks files and their application in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Amada machines and laser/fold, with programming experience.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication machinery and production processes.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision.
