Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Applications & Development Engineer to join our dynamic team at Morgan Jones. As a key member of our global sales and applications engineering teams, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies in commercial vehicle safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop innovative solutions to meet application challenges, collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure high-quality product modifications.
- Provide exceptional customer service, particularly in aftermarket scenarios, and offer product support to customers both internally and externally.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, CAD drawings, system schematics, and installation instructions to ensure seamless product adaptation and maintenance.
- Conduct technical training for customers and colleagues, ensuring close coordination and communication with suppliers and other internal departments.
- Troubleshoot customer issues and provide effective technical solutions, leveraging your expertise in automotive electronics and customer interaction.
- HNC or NVQ in electrical/electronics or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in automotive electrics/electronics, in a customer-facing role.
- Strong background in B2B environments with a focus on product development and adaptation.
- Technical proficiency with DC circuits, analogue/digital electronics, and electronic test equipment.
- Experience with CAD (2D and electrical schematics) and MS Office applications.
