Regional Solicitor - Employment Law

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Solicitor to join our Legal Services team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the conduct of claims and litigation in the name of the union, and will represent individual members in tribunals and courts requiring specialist legal knowledge or expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent individual members of the union in tribunals and courts, internal hearings, and other procedures as required
  • Provide advice and support to colleagues on legal issues
  • Contribute to the training of staff and members of the union on legal issues
  • Prepare written documents and articles on legal issues affecting members

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor, or equivalent, with a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in employment law
  • Ability and experience to contribute to and support delivery of training programmes
  • Proven experience in handling employment law cases
