About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Account Handler to join our UK Specialty business in Croydon. As an Account Handler, you will play a key role in servicing existing clients and acquiring new business within our Sport & Entertainment division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming enquiries from clients, insurers, and other third parties in a professional and timely manner.
  • Work within agreed authority levels to ensure seamless client service.
  • Review client needs and advise on the most appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Grow our client base through proactive business development.
  • Convert insurance needs into sales opportunities.
  • Process client new business, renewals, and lapses in accordance with current procedures and FCA requirements.
  • Input accurate data onto our back-office systems.
  • Liaise with insurers and other third parties to administer client insurance needs.
  • Assess, analyze, and present client risks to insurers and underwriters to achieve optimal risk acceptance.
  • Prepare client reports to support commercial lines managers.
Requirements
  • Commercial insurance experience, preferably in schemes business.
  • Ability to build strong, mutually beneficial business relationships.
  • Understanding of broking and underwriting processes.
  • Highly organized with excellent planning skills.
  • Able to work flexibly to meet tight deadlines and targets.
  • Completion of or progress towards CII qualifications.
