The Lead Planner will play a critical role in facilitating Management decision making by preparing summary schedules based on alternative execution strategies.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing, updating, and maintaining systems and procedures relating to Basis of Schedule, including Project Planning, Scheduling, Progress Measurement, Progress Reporting, Progress Trending, and Progress Certification.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare Summary Schedules: Develop and maintain summary schedules based on alternative execution strategies to facilitate Management decision making.
- Develop and Maintain Systems: Develop, update, and maintain systems and procedures relating to Basis of Schedule, including Project Planning, Scheduling, Progress Measurement, Progress Reporting, Progress Trending, and Progress Certification.
- Review and Analyze Submissions: Conduct in-depth review and analysis of all submissions from PMC and EPC Contractors during implementation stages that relate to Planning, Scheduling, Progress Measurement, Reporting, Schedule Risk Analysis, and Productivity Analysis.
- Endorse Physical Progress: Endorse monthly physical progress claimed by the Consultants/Contractors.
- Identify Areas of Concern: Identify areas of concern impacting the project completion schedule and advise the Project Managers on proposed corrective actions.
- Critical Path Analysis: Conduct Critical Path Analysis and report any areas of concern to the management team.
- Review Resource Deployment: Review resource deployment by Contractors/Consultants and validate their adequacy for meeting the completion schedules based on productivity rates and recommend enhancements where required.
- Evaluate Variation Requests: Evaluate Variation requests/Claims for extension of project schedules made by Contractors/Consultants and prepare appropriate recommendations to Management for approval.
- Review Schedule Risk Analysis: Review, periodically, the Schedule Risk Analysis along with the mitigation measures identified by the Consultants/Contractors to ensure timely implementation of all agreed migration measures.
- Coordinate with Project Control: Coordinate with the Project Control Manager, Client Project Controls Team, and EPC Contractors to ensure adherence to the project control procedures and other requirements throughout the project duration to achieve successful project implementation.
- Establish KPI's: Identify/establish KPI's for all ongoing projects for each year in consultation with the respective Project Managers for each project and maintain close follow-up with Internal CLIENT Project Management teams to ensure achievement of KPI's as per plan.
- Prepare Progress Reports: Prepare Monthly Progress Reports and detailed write-ups/presentations required for Meetings.
- Provide Inputs to PCM: Provide necessary inputs to the PCM, Cost Control, and Change Team to facilitate preparation of annual budgets and provide necessary inputs/justifications for schedule variations as required.
