Job Title: Assistant Buyer

Macildowie Recruitment & Retention is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Buyer to join their Supply Chain & Procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships and drive procurement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to maximize value for the client.
  • Evaluate and manage supplier performance to ensure high-quality products and services.
  • Support the Head of Supply Chain and Senior Buyers in the procurement of works and delivery of sub-contract packages.
  • Provide accurate delivery data to customers and contribute to team and individual operational objectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that drive cost savings and enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Experience in Engineering, Construction, Utilities, Civils, or Infrastructures.
  • Able to commute to the Leicester office.
  • CIPS Level 3 or working towards CIPS.
