We are seeking a skilled and passionate Community Gardener to join our team at Windmill Community Gardens Margate.

About the Role:

• Deliver sustainable food growing, cooking, and learning opportunities for the community.
• Work with children's groups, lead volunteers, and manage work experience placements.
• Contribute to sustaining a vibrant and inclusive garden space.

Windmill Community Gardens Margate is a charity that aims to deliver social, environmental, and health benefits while supporting people to learn about food growing, cooking, and outdoor activities together.

We cultivate, sell, and share chemical-free produce with members of the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sustainable food growing and cooking programs.
• Lead workshops, training sessions, and community events.
• Manage and maintain the community garden and market garden.

Requirements:

• Experience in community gardening, sustainable food systems, or environmental education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer:

A competitive hourly rate of £12.35 and a contract aligned with funding until 3rd May 2025.
