Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to join our team at W P Recruitment & HR Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on estate management and landlord and tenant matters for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a specialist general property service, engaging customers and stakeholders to make effective use of the service.
  • Assist officers on all Property Assets Team property matters, providing valuation advice and advising on title/leases/legal documents.
  • Provide property input to corporate projects, such as major capital projects, acquisitions, disposals, and regeneration schemes.
  • Manage a rented out property portfolio, overseeing invoicing, liaising with tenants, and dealing with tenant-related issues.
  • Put in place and manage wayleave and easement arrangements.
  • Negotiate rent reviews, lease renewals, and new lettings as appropriate.
  • Represent the company at meetings and negotiations to deliver the above.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • MRICS or a relevant degree-level qualification with demonstrable experience in general practice estates surveying roles in a public or Local Authority sector.
  • Knowledge of the Isle of Wight and its property market and experience of a local government environment is desirable.
  • Access to own transport is an advantage.
