About the Role
We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing an excellent meal service to our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food to high standards, adhering to strict food safety guidelines.
- Work as part of a busy team to meet deadlines and production targets.
- Undertake cleaning and maintenance duties within the kitchens and retail outlets.
- Record temperatures and other key audit requirements onto monitoring forms.
- Provide excellent customer service and interact with patients, staff, and visitors in a professional manner.
Person Specification
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is willing to learn and develop new skills. You will have basic literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to record information onto forms and work as part of a team. Previous experience in catering or food preparation is not essential, but a willingness to learn and follow strict food safety guidelines is essential.
