About Our Venues

Double Standard is renowned for its delicious burgers, craft beers, DJs, and expertly crafted cocktails, all enjoyed in a lively 70s-inspired setting or on our sunlit terraces. Our collaboration with Gasoline Grill brings a selection of their iconic burgers to our menu, complemented by refreshing offerings from local breweries.

Isla is a garden-inspired restaurant featuring a seasonal menu and a carefully curated wine selection, alongside innovative cocktails.

The Library Lounge serves as our cozy retreat, hosting a curated collection of vintage books and offering a relaxing space for guests to enjoy coffee or cocktails while engaging in our cultural programming.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Bartender at The Standard, you will be an integral part of our exceptional bar team, delivering a comprehensive drinks service across our venues. Your primary focus will be on our Double Standard bar and garden, known for its hearty fare and a wide selection of beverages.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about service and possesses a strong understanding of bar operations and service protocols. A deep appreciation for quality wines, champagne, and spirits is essential, as you will be responsible for guiding guests and making tailored recommendations based on their preferences. You will also craft and mix a variety of signature cocktails, adding a unique flair to our guests' experiences.

Above all, you will be a welcoming host, ensuring that guests feel at home during their visit. A friendly, upbeat demeanor is crucial, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while managing multiple tasks and guests seamlessly.

Qualifications

To excel in this Senior Bartender role, you should possess:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Bartender, ideally in a boutique hotel or busy city bar, with the ability to connect with a diverse range of guests.
  • A confident mixologist with a solid knowledge of both classic and contemporary cocktails, along with an understanding of current trends in the bar scene.
  • Experience with Squirrel EPOS is a plus, but training will be provided.
  • A proactive and social attitude, demonstrating professionalism and positivity in all interactions.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as WSET, are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including the ability to work shifts, weekends, and nights as needed.
