Goalkeeper Coach

About the Role

Liverpool Football Club's LFC Foundation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Goalkeeper Coach to join our team on a casual basis. You will play a vital role in developing young goalkeepers across various sites, fostering a dynamic environment that maximizes their potential.

Your Responsibilities:

• Craft comprehensive session plans for all goalkeeper coaching sessions, aligning with the LFC Foundation's philosophy and principles.
• Collaborate closely with age group coaches and player development leads to ensure a cohesive approach to goalkeeper training.
• Maintain detailed records of player progress, generating reports for players, parents, and fellow coaches.
• Work in tandem with phase coaches to facilitate smooth transitions as players progress through the pathway.
• Strengthen the goalkeeping pathway by establishing structured opportunities for development.
• Participate actively in relevant in-service training programs and continuous professional development (CPD) initiatives.
• Attend all necessary multi-disciplinary team meetings and staff gatherings.
• Develop and support the implementation of individualized player development plans.
• Stay informed about and adhere to safeguarding policies and best practices, prioritizing the safety of participants, volunteers, and staff.

Who We Seek:

To excel in this role, you will possess recent and relevant professional experience within a sports performance environment. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are essential, along with reliability, conscientiousness, and a flexible approach. A deep understanding of the demands placed on players and the ability to implement support strategies for their emotional well-being are crucial.

You should demonstrate the capacity to build positive working relationships with all stakeholders and collaborate effectively within a team in a professional and demanding setting. Your leadership style will foster an environment that promotes high aspirations and achievement for all.

• FA Level 2 Goalkeeping
• FA Level 1 Outfield
• FA Safeguarding Children
• An up-to-date Emergency Aid in Football
