Job Summary:
Rafferty Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled Financial Professional to join their team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client care and ensuring the smooth running of the office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver first-class client service and support to clients via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Onboard new clients and integrate them into your portfolio, ensuring seamless transitions and excellent client experiences.
- Evaluate and provide tax guidance to clients, optimizing their tax efficiency and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare, review, and complete bookkeeping and VAT returns as required, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Liaise with clients and HM Revenue & Customs to resolve queries and ensure timely compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Maintain electronic filing of books and records, ensuring efficient and secure storage.
- Manage client administration and records, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Engage in tasks necessary to support the smooth running of the office environment, including preparing and executing year-end client meetings.
- Ensure all internal and statutory deadlines are met, including HMRC SLA.
- Conduct client fee reviews, ensuring fair and transparent pricing.
Requirements:
- Hold membership to a professional body (does not need to be a chartered body).
- At least 2 years of accounting practice experience.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meeting internal and external deadlines (including HMRC).
- Effective communication skills, both within the company and with clients.
- Good knowledge and understanding of QuickBooks and Xero.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
- Positive, friendly, and professional appearance for an office environment.
- Eagerness to learn and improve skills for personal development.
- Self-motivated and confident to seek assistance when necessary.
