About the Role:
The Interim Supply Chain and Operations Consultant will play a critical role in leading the implementation of key strategic initiatives to deliver operational requirements for a successful go-live in both supply chain and production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Initiative Development: Spearhead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to ensure the successful go-live of supply chain and production operations.
- Operational Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
- Operational Readiness: Ensure that all operational procedures, tools, and resources are in place and fully optimized for the launch phase.
- Performance Metrics: Establish operational key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet production capacity and supply chain optimization.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop team capability to deliver on strategic objectives.
- Culture Development: Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the operational teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions related to the go-live phase.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to the go-live process and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to support the successful execution of operational plans.
Requirements:
Parkinson Lee Executive Search is keen to speak with seasoned interim professionals who possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in rolling out strategies within the food manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrable experience in start-up operations from project management through to delivery of an accredited and fully operational manufacturing site.
- Clear understanding of business P&L/ Working Capital/ Balance sheet.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodology.
- Hands-on experience in setting up production facilities and supply chain processes.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety and food safety standards and certifications.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Experience attaining BRC and ISO accreditations.
Assignment Details:
The client is looking for someone who is readily available and willing to commit to the assignment for a period of 6 months, dedicating a minimum of 3 days per week. In return, they will pay a competitive day rate outside of IR35.
