We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cancer MDT Manager to join our dynamic and progressive team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Cancer Service Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring leadership and performance of our cancer services across the Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Line manage the cancer services team, ensuring regular appraisals and 1:1s are conducted, and identifying any training needs or areas of development.
- Work closely with the team to identify any delays in cancer pathways and escalate to the Cancer Performance Manager.
- Attend MDTs quarterly (minimum) to ensure they run effectively and efficiently.
- Train new staff in the use of virtual telecommunication equipment and ensure all meetings are updated to run smoothly.
- Attend and participate in annual operational meetings for each MDT.
- Work closely with the Cancer Performance Manager and Cancer Operations Manager to deliver all key cancer targets and identify ongoing internal process changes required to achieve and sustain this.
- Support the cancer data team by ensuring complete, accurate, and consistent recording of information by MDT outcomes and patient tracking, populated onto the Somerset Cancer Register for internal and external reporting.
- Take responsibility for the even distribution of workload within the team and initiate amendments or improvements where necessary.
- Deputise for the Cancer Performance Manager as appropriate.

- A degree or equivalent training and experience gained in post.
- A recognised supervisory/management qualification.
