We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior or Associate Building Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Cambridge. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, providing professional advice and overseeing all aspects of building surveying.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting thorough building surveys, condition assessments, and preparing detailed reports.
- Managing refurbishment, renovation, and repair projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Preparing specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation.
- Advising clients on maintenance, repair, and conservation of buildings, including historic and listed properties.
- Undertaking contract administration, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
- Providing expert advice on building defects, repairs, and health and safety issues.
- Engaging in client relationship management, including business development and networking to secure new opportunities.
- Mentoring and supporting junior surveyors, contributing to their professional development and the overall success of the team.
- MRICS qualified with significant experience in building surveying.
- Strong technical knowledge of building construction, pathology, and statutory compliance.
- Proven track record in managing projects and delivering client-focused services.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience with historic and listed buildings is desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in building surveying.
