Project Finance Specialist

Job Summary
KennedyPearce Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Project Finance Specialist to join our team. As a Project Finance Specialist, you will play a key role in assisting in the successful origination, execution, and ongoing management of project finance transactions across a portfolio of natural resources, power, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and evaluating potential deal opportunities and with the subsequent origination process, including establishing dialogue with clients and arrangers, pitching, and securing mandates.
- Review and analyze key terms and conditions of deals, associated credit risks, and mitigants, and assist with the preparation of internal requests for credit approval.
- Assist with all aspects of the deal execution process, including reviewing and commenting on documentation, analyzing financial aspects, and checking the correct incorporation of deal security and other credit mitigants.
- Assist with ongoing credit risk and compliance monitoring of the deal portfolio, including annual reviews and responsibility for material waivers and close monitoring of problem scenarios.
- Assist with periodic reviews of the team's strategy with respect to the project finance market's sub-sectors, specific clients, terms of financing products, and so on.
- Assist the team in broadening and strengthening its range of personal relationships with target clients across the industry.
- Perform other duties as may be requested from time to time by the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
Essential Experience Required
- Good educational background, preferably ACIB/Degree qualified.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as part of a dynamic front-office project finance team with regular interaction with corporate clients.
- Willingness to consider candidates from the advisory side with relevant advisory experience in Power and Infrastructure.
- Proven credit analysis skills.
- Strong numeracy and familiarity with cashflow-based financial analysis, including computer modeling.
