Mechanical Engineering Tutor Opportunity

We are seeking a knowledgeable Mechanical Engineer to take on the role of Tutor at a reputable training organization. In this position, you will be tasked with instructing, guiding, and supporting students who are working towards Level 3 qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in both planned and reactive maintenance, along with practical machine operation skills. While experience in process engineering is a plus, it is not a strict requirement.

Experience in delivering training and holding an Assessor's Award or a teaching qualification is beneficial. However, if you are enthusiastic about moving into a training position, thrive in educational settings, and have substantial experience in the engineering field, we welcome your application. Comprehensive training will be provided for the right individual.

This position will primarily be based in a designated location, with the possibility of travel to various centers within the region. Therefore, a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineering Tutor:
- Facilitating and managing qualifications at a modern training facility
- Guiding learners towards achieving relevant qualifications in accordance with awarding body standards

We are looking for proactive individuals who possess strong communication abilities and a practical approach to their work.

Essential Requirements for the Mechanical Engineering Tutor:
- At least 4 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Prior experience working with youth
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Level 3 (or higher) occupational qualification
- Assessor Qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent preferred)
- Teaching qualification (preferred)
- Enhanced DBS clearance required

Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive starting salary ranging from £37,000 to £39,000, depending on experience and qualifications
