About the RoleCornwall Mining Consultants, a leading mining subsidence and mundic expert in the south west, is seeking an experienced Environmental Geologist to join their team in Camborne. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for researching, designing, and conducting field work, environmental consulting, soil analysis, and contaminated land assessments on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct field work and geological assessments to identify potential hazards and risks
- Develop and implement environmental consulting strategies to mitigate the impact of mining subsidence
- Analyze soil samples and contaminated land to determine the extent of contamination
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities, solicitors, estate agents, surveyors, and developers to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Train in mining subsidence research and assessment, and on-site mining hazard investigation
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience in environmental geology or a related field
- Experience with the CLEA model and knowledge of CL:AIRE
- Strong background in geology and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in geology, environmental science, or a related field
- Starting salary £25k to £30k pa
