Position Overview: The ideal candidate will take charge of delivering exceptional Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role necessitates a dedication to cultivating a supportive learning atmosphere, where every student is motivated to reach their utmost potential.

Key Duties:

  • Design and implement stimulating and rigorous Geography lessons.
  • Evaluate, track, and communicate student progress effectively.
  • Establish a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the advancement of the Geography curriculum.
  • Engage in departmental and school-wide initiatives.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A degree in Geography or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching Geography at the secondary level.
  • Strong command of the subject matter and a genuine enthusiasm for Geography.
  • Excellent classroom management capabilities.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to contribute to the broader school community.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the GCSE Geography curriculum.
  • Awareness of current educational trends and best practices.
  • Participation in extracurricular activities related to Geography.

All pay rates mentioned will include statutory holiday pay. This position may initially be temporary, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
