Job Title: Biomedical Scientist - Histopathology Specialist

Job Type: Locum Contract

Location: East of England

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist with a background in Histopathology to join our team at a busy NHS hospital. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of UK experience in a Histopathology laboratory and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform histopathology laboratory tests and procedures
  • Prepare and examine tissue samples for diagnostic purposes
  • Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Develop and maintain laboratory procedures and protocols
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities

Requirements:

  • Current HCPC registration
  • IBMS accredited degree
  • At least 6 months of UK experience in a Histopathology laboratory
  • Ability to cut 25+ quality sections per hour
