Early Years Manager Job Description

Barracudas Activity Day Camps is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Manager to join our team. As an Early Years Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our camps, providing a safe and engaging environment for children, and leading a team of Early Years staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and deliver induction training to Early Years staff
  • Oversee the set-up of camps and ensure a safe environment
  • Complete paperwork and high-risk activities in accordance with Barracudas Activity Codes of Practice
  • Enforce Health and Safety regulations and ensure compliance
  • Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage and plan engaging activities for children
  • Designated Person for Safeguarding and Child Protection
  • Communicate with parents, staff, and Area Managers on a daily/weekly basis
  • Assess and review staff performance and provide feedback
  • Support staff in sessions and ensure a positive experience for children
Requirements:
  • Early Years qualified (Primary qualified, CACHE L3, Primary PGCE, BA Primary Education)
  • Early Years experience within a childcare setting
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or existing enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Provide satisfactory professional/academic references
  • Attend and deliver Induction Training Day(s)
  • Complete Online Training annually
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Fulfil Health and Safety obligations and follow procedures
  • Be proactive and diligent when approaching safety issues
  • Prepare for Induction training using relevant manuals
  • Complete staff evaluations and report Child Protection concerns
  • Ensure staff are aware of children's needs and administer medication correctly
