Mechanical Design Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Design Engineering Manager to lead our engineering operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, processes, and strategic direction, advocating best practice to improve delivery to time, cost, quality, and specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage budgets and resources, contributing to business forecasts and KPIs.
- Lead the Engineering team, ensuring cohesive and collaborative work.
- Drive product innovation and development, ensuring stakeholder requirements are met.
- Support sales and marketing teams, maintaining knowledge of market developments and product innovations.
Requirements:
- High level of experience in practical application of best practice mechanical design engineering, including lead and change management.
- Qualified to a minimum of HNC level in mechanical engineering and knowledge of materials and steel milling manufacturing processes.
- Strong computer literacy, including mechanical and FEA CAD.
- Clear leadership behaviours, strong communication and accountability skills, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to prioritise work within a pressurised environment to deadlines.
