Overview

PepsiCo is seeking a highly motivated and experienced R&D Project Lead to join our team in Leicester, UK. This role will focus on leading the development and technical aspects of Technical Stewardship projects, directly supporting the Europe Foods R&D Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of assigned Technical Stewardship projects, ensuring successful delivery through individual contributions and team management.
  • Implement and enforce technical and business governance processes within the project scope.
  • Contribute to or lead workstreams aimed at enhancing team efficiency, knowledge sharing, and best practice implementation.
  • Utilize data-driven product design principles, incorporating consumer product testing, sensory analysis, and analytical data to ensure successful product launches with robust technical specifications.
  • Collaborate effectively within a complex matrix organization, leveraging functional and business expertise to provide clear technical recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven technical project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience coordinating and executing factory trials to achieve specific objectives.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of consumer product testing, sensory analysis, and analytical methods.
  • Ability to coordinate with third-party manufacturers and suppliers to meet business goals.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data and distilling it into actionable insights, including process data, experimental design, and statistical inference.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple initiatives and thrive in an environment of change and ambiguity.
