Job Title: Support Worker

Job Summary:

The Action Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with learning disabilities and other support needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with the people we support, promoting their independence and well-being.

  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.

  • Support individuals to access community resources, engage in leisure activities, and participate in social events.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support and care.

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and PVG clearance.

  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.

  • Physical capability to push wheelchairs and assist with general moving and handling tasks.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain confidentiality.
