Paediatric Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Paediatric Nurse to join our dynamic community team at Pulse Healthcare Ltd.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Nurse to work in a community setting, providing exceptional care to patients and their families. As a Paediatric Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering expert education to patient's families and caregivers, collaborating with designated hospitals and centres to ensure the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training interactions to ensure patient's family or care givers are able to safely administer medication prior to patient leaving hospital.
  • Undertake a clinical assessment of patients to ensure they are well enough to receive treatment, including completing any required observations such as o2 saturation, blood pressure and heart rate.
  • Provide on-going support to patients through the combination of support programmes to include telephone, clinic-based and home visits as per product and client protocols.
  • Report adverse drug events as per protocol e.g. informing pharmacy and client nominated clinical contact

Requirements:

  • RSCN or RN-C - NMC qualified
  • Experience in a Paediatric Nurse setting, either in hospital or community environment
  • Clinical skills required include clinical assessment, administering sub-cutaneous injections and cannulation
  • Strong understanding of therapies relevant to service offering, including NHS knowledge relating to the management of patients with treated conditions
  • Close attention to detail and follows rules and protocols; quality oriented
  • Strong communication skills
  • A team player that builds strong relationships with others both within and outside the business
  • Strong customer and patient focus
  • Makes good use of available time, well-developed planning & organisational skills
  • Adaptable to change; flexible enough to cope with changing service demands
