Job Summary

Brentedwards is seeking a skilled Embedded Software Developer to join our team in the Electronics & Embedded Systems business unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software solutions for defence projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions for defence projects.
  2. Apply your expertise in C++ or ADA to deliver high-quality software products.
  3. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, software design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and maintenance.
  4. Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, system engineers, and other software engineers, to ensure successful project delivery.
  5. Take ownership of assigned tasks, meet project deadlines, and maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  6. Adhere to established coding standards, software development processes, and security protocols.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  2. Proven experience working as a Software Engineer, developing software solutions for complex projects.

Essential Skills

  1. Proven experience working as a Software Engineer, developing software solutions for complex projects.
  2. Strong proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C++ or ADA.
  3. Solid understanding of software development principles, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
  4. Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies in a Safety or Mission Critical development environment.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse and debug complex software systems.
  6. Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools, including unit testing and automated testing frameworks.

Desired Skills
