Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Consultant to join our team at Salt. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful integration and operation of the HP Non-Stop Tandem platform within our business environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Integration: Ensure seamless integration of the Non-Stop Tandem platform with our existing systems and infrastructure.
  • Application Deployment: Participate in the deployment of applications within test, pre-production, and production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Support and Maintenance: Provide second and third-level support to our Production Operations team, as well as internal and external business stakeholders, for all Non-Stop Tandem-related issues.
  • System Administration: Install, test, and configure new releases and products, including IBM MQ, Python, Non-Stop Webserver, and Batch definition.
  • Security and Compliance: Manage Non-Stop Security, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Database Management: Administer SQL/MP and SQL/MX databases, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and security.
  • Storage Management: Manage storage resources, ensuring efficient use and optimal performance.
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct system and application performance analysis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Project Participation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on major projects, such as Stilton, ORT, DC 2+2, and SCF.
  • Training and Development: Train new team members on Tandem technology, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Master's degree in Mathematics, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the Non-Stop Environment, with a strong background in System Administration and Network Guardian & OSS.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Non-Stop Infrastructure and tools, including RDF/TMF/SCF/Pathway/Safeguard/DSM/SCM/MQSerie, SQL & SQL/MX, XMA, XUA, XCM, SSHCOM, ODBC, ITPWeb, and Java.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to new circumstances, technologies, and procedures. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
