About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Bridges and Civils team within our Transportation Practice, based in Epsom. The successful candidate will support our team working on a number of exciting, high-profile multi-disciplinary projects and frameworks in the local teams and the wider UK, including major highways improvement schemes and local authority schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering a variety of civil and structural design packages and projects for new highway schemes, maintenance and assessment works.
  • Managing both individual design packages and entire projects, supporting project resourcing and financial control to ensure our schemes are delivered profitably, to programme and in accordance with Atkins' quality assurance systems.
  • Working on projects at varying stages of development from feasibility to detailed design.

Requirements

  • BEng / MEng or MSc degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered status and membership of the ICE or IStructE.
  • Experience of working with key clients such as National Highways, Local Authorities and/or major Contractors.
  • Ability to lead and support bids and tenders, with experience of work winning and developing Client relationships.
  • Sufficient experience to undertake technical reviews of designs and understanding of relevant design standards.
