Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer Setter Operator to join our team at Modern Edge Recruitment. As a CNC Programmer Setter Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and running a variety of CNC machines and controls to produce high-quality components.

Responsibilities:

  • Programme, set, and run a variety of CNC machines and controls
  • Work from engineering drawings and CAD files, with a variety of different materials and manufacturing processes
  • Use CNC and manual machinery, as well as a variety of hand tools
  • Set, operate, and programme CNC milling and/or turning machines

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of setting, operating, and programming CNC machines
  • Ideal exposure to milling and/or turning machines
  • Bridgeport, Colchester, Fanuc, Siemens, Hass, and/or Heidenhain experience is a plus
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of CADCAM is beneficial
  • Exposure to the use of measuring tools, such as callipers and micrometres
  • Good understanding of feeds and speeds

What We Offer:

  • Hourly rate: £15.00 to £18.00 per hour, dependent on experience and hours wanted
  • Overtime available
  • Temporary to permanent and permanent contracts available
