About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Support Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Architecture Authority team, you will play a critical role in defining the strategic vision for the SSNA Programme.

As a CAD Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing key interface between functional capability delivery and developing and optimizing People, Process, and Tools to ensure SSNA programme requirements are aligned and fed in.

You will work closely with SSNA and IM&T Solution Architects, and business analysts, to ensure IM&T input and output data is correct and meets the needs of the Engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in defining strategic vision for the Architecture of the SSNA Programme
  • Provide key interface between functional capability delivery and develop and optimize People, Process, and Tools
  • Input and advise the SSNA Programme Architecture Authority Forum
  • Work closely with SSNA and IM&T Solution Architects, and business analysts
  • Support IM&T Project methodologies and approach
  • Maintain overview of wider business system improvements
Requirements
  • General High Hazard business knowledge
  • Background in data management principles including creating data structures and support capabilities, developing data models
  • Good understanding of the whole Engineering Lifecycle
