About the Role:
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing client relationships by ensuring optimal product utilization and data analytics for commercial impact. This involves working closely with external stakeholders to provide critical insights for key business decisions across various functions, leveraging expertise in analysis and data-driven strategies to influence both existing operations and foster new business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Director of Data, the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be hands-on and strategic, with 50% of the role focused on client/stakeholder management and 50% on technical end-to-end delivery.
- Analysing large and complex data sets for a range of businesses, building visualizations to enable clients to see the value of data, guiding them on decision-making, and bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leading project management, including planning, scheduling, and execution, as well as identifying potential opportunities to upsell.
- Mentoring junior members of the team to help upskill them.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in a data analytics role or delivering insights to enable better decision-making, including experience using visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Exceptional communication skills, with examples of working with a range of senior and junior stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Track record of strong technical ability, expert knowledge of SQL, and experience with data modeling, e.g., star schema or Kimball, ERD diagrams, and data lineage documents.
- Experience working with external stakeholders or consultancy experience for over a year.
- Beneficial to have worked with e-commerce businesses in the past.
