Job Summary:

Smyth & Co Luxury Consultants Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Culinary Director to lead our culinary team in creating a unique and exceptional dining experience. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and train a team of culinary professionals to achieve budgeted food margins and maintain 5-star food and kitchen safety standards.
  • Create and cook a seasonal daily-changing menu that showcases the best of British cuisine, using sustainable and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Collaborate with directors to develop and implement menu concepts, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and values.
  • Monitor and control kitchen expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Develop and implement training programs for front-of-house staff on dishes and seasonal changes, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in menu tastings and provide feedback to the culinary team, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve kitchen operations and menu offerings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant or culinary establishment.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong culinary skills, with a deep understanding of British cuisine and sustainable food practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with directors, chefs, and front-of-house staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
