About the Role:
Protocol Education is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide support to children with special educational needs within a reputable school in Newcastle. This position offers valuable insights into the field of special education. We are particularly interested in psychology graduates who are keen to develop their skills in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and assist with various interventions.
Compensation: £83.85 - £100 per day
Key Requirements:
- A patient and empathetic demeanor
- A genuine interest in working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Flexibility in your approach to teaching
- Possession of an existing DBS check on the update service (new checks can be applied for)
- Previous experience working with children or adults with SEND is advantageous but not mandatory
Responsibilities:
- Assist and facilitate the learning and development of students within the school setting
- Provide one-on-one and general support to students based on daily requirements
- Collaborate with other teaching and support staff to maintain a safe and productive learning environment
- Ensure adherence to school policies, including behavior management protocols
