Position: Lead Engineer – Safety Assurance (Technical Support)

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the technical coordination for pertinent committees, including the Nuclear Safety Committee and the Nuclear Safety Documentation Committee.
- Conduct all tasks in alignment with Company Policy, Business Processes, and the Quality Assurance framework.
- Assist management in project evaluations to optimize work planning, provide project updates, and identify potential risks along with mitigation strategies.
- Support management in the enhancement and ongoing development of the Safety Management System.
- Ensure management is informed of any deficiencies or additional needs related to the area of responsibility.
- Identify training and professional development needs and communicate these to management as necessary.
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Degree in a relevant field (Engineering or Physical Sciences).
- Prior experience in safety analysis and safety case development within high-risk industries.
Desirable:
- Experience working on a nuclear site and/or involvement in submarine programs.
- Relevant nuclear and/or safety degree programs from recognized institutions.

The Safety Assurance team is expanding as we engage in significant programs. We are currently developing safety cases for various projects and are responsible for the Periodic Review of Safety.
