Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team at Peter Piper Plumbing & Heating Ltd. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems in residential and commercial properties.

Duties:

  1. Install and commission heating systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  2. Conduct routine maintenance on heating systems to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan
  3. Diagnose and repair faults in heating systems to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction
  4. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to protect employees and customers
  5. Provide excellent customer service to build strong relationships and drive business growth

Qualifications:

  1. Mechanical knowledge to work with heating systems and diagnose complex issues
  2. Proficiency with hand tools for installation and repairs, as well as power tools for maintenance tasks
  3. Ability to handle heavy lifting when required, and work at heights if necessary
  4. Commercial driving experience is desirable, but not required
  5. Carpentry skills to assist with installations, and welding and assembly skills for system components
  6. Competence in using power tools for maintenance tasks, and basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
  7. Plumbing experience for system connections, and a strong understanding of heating system design and installation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

  • Yearly bonus for meeting performance targets and exceeding customer satisfaction expectations

Schedule:

  • Day shift, Monday to Friday, with no weekends or overtime required

Experience:

  • Hand tools: 1 year (required)
  • Welding: 1 year (preferred)
  • Power tools: 1 year (preferred)
  • Plumbing: 3 years (required)

Work Location: In person, at our office or on-site at client locations
