Key Responsibilities
As a childcare manager, you will oversee the overall operations of the nursery, including management, budgeting, marketing, safeguarding, quality assurance, and compliance. You will collaborate closely with parents and caregivers to ensure that the nursery meets their expectations and requirements.
We adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and provide a variety of activities to support children's learning and development. We also maintain strong connections with the local community and other organizations that assist children and families.
Your role will involve maintaining detailed records of your work within the setting and adhering to EYFS standards and policies. You will need excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and the capability to work within tight budgets.
In your managerial capacity, you will support your team in delivering and overseeing activities and programs aligned with the EYFS to foster children's development and provide them with opportunities to socialize, explore safe and stimulating environments, and grow.
You will be part of a multi-agency team and may occasionally provide support to ensure adequate staffing across various settings.
About You
You will possess outstanding communication skills, a clear vision, and a passion for working with children. You should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and accustomed to a dynamic work environment.
You will be focused on solutions and motivated to support and develop your team. Your role will require flexibility throughout the week and during holidays to ensure comprehensive support for the setting.
A Level 3 Early Years and Childcare Qualification and a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience within an Early Years setting, along with a solid understanding of EYFS delivery, are essential.
You will also hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate and possess sound knowledge and experience in risk assessments and Health and Safety practices.
Additional Information
The position is subject to a DBS check, and you will need a full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
