Position Overview

The Wellbeing Service operates under the national IAPT initiative, dedicated to assisting individuals aged 16 and above who are experiencing mild to moderately severe anxiety and depression.

The ideal candidate will hold a BABCP accreditation as a CBT/Therapist.

Our goal is to ensure that both patients and staff view our organization as a preferred choice for treatment. Your expertise, experience, and dedication can significantly contribute to achieving this vision within The Wellbeing Service.

We collaborate closely with community partners to support individuals managing Long Term Conditions, in addition to our primary focus. We provide evidence-based psychological interventions to empower individuals to thrive with their conditions while fostering connections with essential physical health professionals in our region. Additional training in managing Long Term Conditions will be available.

Key Responsibilities

You will deliver high-intensity interventions to a diverse adult population facing anxiety, depression, and trauma-related challenges. Regular supervision, in-service training, and continuing professional development (CPD) days will be provided to support your ongoing learning and growth.

This role offers a chance to join a well-established team of Psychological Therapists delivering a variety of NICE-compliant treatments at Step 3. You will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Experience in Primary Care is advantageous. In addition to individual therapy, you may also co-facilitate group interventions through digital platforms. Training and additional support for group work will be provided as needed.

As a Band 7 therapist, you will play a vital role in the continuous development and assessment of the service.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Professional qualification and registration in a recognized mental health discipline
  • Knowledge and experience gained through relevant first professional qualification at degree or postgraduate level.
  • BABCP accreditation as a CBT/Therapist (may have been obtained following successful completion of High Intensity Therapist Training).

Experience

Essential

  • Theoretical understanding of CBT/Therapies and the application of suitable models of practice based on client needs.
  • Exceptional communication skills with diverse individuals in various clinical and managerial contexts.
