About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Placement Student in Quality for our Genset Business Unit in Daventry. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a global organization and develop skills in quality assurance, new product introduction, and supply chain management.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the introduction of new parts and products within the plant, working closely with the NPI coordinator and other departments.
- Collaborate with external business functions to understand the entire new part introduction process, from initial engineering design to full production implementation.
- Attend design review meetings and complete engineering design reviews for the NPI department.
- Develop and manage production process documentation, as well as record and update issues on the database.
- Support NPI engineering builds through the manufacturing process and organize meetings with various stakeholders.
Requirements
- We are looking for students studying towards a bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or related subjects.
- Good PC literacy and knowledge of 3D modeling software (SolidWorks/Creo/Fusion 360, etc.) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Practical approach to support technical innovation, ability to recommend improvements, and manage own projects.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, communication skills (verbal and written), time management, and prioritization skills, proactive attitude.
