Policy and Public Affairs Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy and Public Affairs Specialist to join our team at the Mental Health Foundation. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the VOX organisation based at our Glasgow office.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the political landscape and parliamentary and governmental processes, with the ability to influence parliament and civil servants to achieve policy / legislative change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of a portfolio of campaigning and public affairs work, including occasional specific projects.
- Engagement with external stakeholders to pursue the organisation's policy objectives and help to achieve policy changes at a national and local level.
- Developing and implementing effective public affairs strategies to promote the organisation's policy agenda.
Requirements:
- A strong understanding of the political landscape and parliamentary and governmental processes.
- Confidence to influence parliament and civil servants to achieve policy / legislative change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
