Job Description:

The company is seeking a highly skilled Project Director to lead a £100m new build scheme in the Reading area. As a Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the project from inception to completion, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, with experience of leading large-scale projects. You will be a strategic thinker, able to develop and implement project plans, and a strong communicator, able to work effectively with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Lead and manage a team of project managers, engineers, and other professionals
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in construction project management, preferably on large-scale projects
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Proficient in project management software, including MS Project, Primavera, and Asana
